BIOGRAPHY

Larry Carroll is an experienced, versatile director who has found success not only with his commercial work, but also directing for television, short films, and documentaries. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in art, and spent many years as an art director/producer for various advertising agencies before branching out into directing. He found a niche in auto and people oriented spots and directed numerous commercials for clients like Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Chevrolet and Goodyear.

Outside of his commercial work, Larry’s first foray into long-form work was the short film CAMUS’ SHOES, which won numerous awards, including the GOLD AWARD for Best Dramatic Short at Worldfest Houston. This was followed by the feature length documentary SAM KINISON: WHY DID WE LAUGH?, a profile of the late comedian that aired on HBO and Comedy Central. It was greeted very enthusiastically, winning among other awards, BEST DIRECTOR at the New York International Film and Video Festival. In episodic TV, Larry co-created and directed “Peacemakers,” starring Tom Berenger, which aired on the USA Network.
