BIOGRAPHY

Marshall Vernet was born in New York City, educated in Paris and now calls Los Angeles home.

Before turning all of his focus to directing Vernet was a still photographer.

This background has served Marshall well in his directing career. In every spot, there is a keen eye to the style, architecture, lighting, and composition so that the performances are incorporated into a beautiful canvas. Whether the spot is visual storytelling, testimonial, fashion/beautiful images or a combination of these, Vernet’s incandescent sense of composition, his ideas and technical mastery of light have led the locations and the stories to blend and reveal themselves, enhancing the beauty of each spot and the beauty of the message itself.

Marshalls directing career began in 1999, where based on the quality of one his first spec spot, he signed with Bedford Falls.

Among others, Vernet has directed spots for BASF, HR Block, JC Penny, Macys, Moya, Matchmaker.com, and Burlington Coat Factory.
